Some photos I've snapped recently, to add to the collection of the Swiss experience...

And then there's the Zurich Fasnacht, a celebration of the Protestant cantons prior to the season of Lent. I'm still not quite sure of all the symbolism it entails, but it was a unique and fun experience to be part of. The parade had plenty of confetti, intricate homemade costumes, detailed face paint, audience interaction, candy throwing, Guggen music, and beautiful artistry. The creepy costumed creatures went about their mischevious acts, scaring children, drawing on people's faces and bald heads, giving head noogies, wrapping girls in saran wrap, and various other naughty things. I was even kidnapped and encircled by some trolls and forced to join the parade!
